Society AGM 2009
Saturday 25 April 2009. 11:30. The Alveley Room of The Engine House Visitor & Education Centre at Highley Station on the Severn Valley Railway. The Malcolm Carlsson Award was won by Lorenzo Ricotti for his Class 47 diesel locomotive.

Warley National Model Railway Exhibition 2008
Saturday 22 November and Sunday 23 November 2008. NEC Birmingham. Mick Scarrow and John Pearce presented their Chinnor layout for the first time, complete with cement works.

Hartlepool Model Railway Exhibition
Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 July 2008. At the ex-Samsung Training Centre (now an event centre) near the A19/A689 junction, Billingham. Brian Pattenden was there with 'Horton'.

Chatham Show 2008
Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 June 2008. Chatham Historic Dockyard, Chatham, Kent ME4 4TZ. The Society stand featured numerous British H0 models, which were used to demonstrate DC and DCC control and other aspects of railway modelling.

Eurotrack 2007 (aka Eastleigh Model Railway Show)
Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 February 2007. Fleming Park Leisure Centre, Passfield Avenue, Eastleigh, Hampshire SO50 9LH. The Society had a stand: we ran DCC and DC equipped British HO and some Continental European models, and we answered show-visitors' questions about various aspects of railway modelling.

Bracknell model railway show
Saturday, 21 October 2006. At short notice, a 'train set' layout was provided to demonstrate British H0 and DCC.

Festirail 2006
Saturday 28 (12:00-19:00) and Sunday 29 (10:00-18:00) January 2006. Salle des Sports, Rue de la Gare, Pont a Marcq (15km south of Lille), France. The Train Collectors Society showed British outline models by Playcraft, Lima, Rivarossi and Fleischmann.

Saturday 14 January and Sunday 15 January 2006. Winding Wheel, New Exhibition Centre, 13 Holywell Street, Chesterfield S41 7SA. Mick Scarrow showed Watlington and Aston Rowant.

The best model competition (Malcolm Carlsson Award) was won by Phil Rivers for his superdetailed and weathered Hunslet "Austerity", based on the Mercian Models kit.

National Trust Ormsby Model Railway Weekend

Society AGM 2000
The annual general meeting of the Society was held on 8 April 2000. Stuart Robinson brought one of his British HO layouts. John Allison won the Malcolm Carlsson award for his rake of goods wagons.

WRVS hall, South Street, Lancing. 11 March 2000. 10:00-17:00. The prolific Stuart Robinson was there with his British HO layout "Ukho".

Woodmansterne
Surrey. 4 March 2000. The debut appearance of Ruspidge HO BR(LM)/LMS, another of Stuart Robinson's creations. Stuart was also the exhibition manager - and a very nice show it was too.
